Abstract
In this paper, the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) of testicle tissue under electromagnetic radiation was explored by numerical simulation method. The simulation environment of human body and rat was established with the help of Sim4Life software. The whole body average (WBA) SAR, tissue average SAR and maximum local SAR data in human body and rat were obtained. The results showed that the trend of testicular SAR with frequency is different from that of WBA SAR both in Duke and Rat. Besides, the data illustrated that the SAR values of testicular organs of rat and human were quite different when the WBA values were unified. Therefore, this brings some hints to the assessment of the dose-effect relationship. In the experimental design and dosimetric assessment of reproductive effects, more attention should be paid to the dose of testicular tissue, besides WBA SAR.
