Abstract

A 62-year-old patient complained of changes in the nail plates of the fingers. According to the patient, the changes began 20 years ago with a gradual deterioration in his condition. The patient's skin and mucousa are not involved. During clinical examination, there is a change in the integrity of the nail plate, growth of the skin of the proximal nail fold towards the nail bed (dorsal pterygum) with splitting of the nail.
