Abstract
The article reveals the content of the concept of "domestic violence", relevance, psychological, medical and social significance of the problem. Special attention is drawn to the need for detailed study of all components of this phenomenon by analyzing the conditions, manifestations of various forms of violence, which will allow a more detailed and objective approach to address issues relating to the mechanism and characteristics of the occurrence of injuries depending on the specified situations.

За нашими спостереженнями та даними інших авторів, серед потерпілих від домашнього насильства переважають особи середнього працездатного віку (25–48 років).
