Abstract

There is no doubt that epidural analgesia is one of the most effective methods of pain relief in labor,1 with up to 7 of every 10 women receiving such analgesia during delivery.2 Local anesthetic with or without adjunct opioid is therefore one of the most common prenatal drug exposures.
