Abstract

On April 23, the UK General Medical Council (GMC) acquitted two doctors accused of covering up a fatal morphine overdose given to premature baby in October, 1995, of serious professional misconduct. A third doctor, Hilary Evans, whose error led to the baby girl being given 100 times the prescribed dose, was found not guilty of serious professional misconduct on April 21.
