Abstract

Knowledge is a strategic asset for an organization. Subsequently, effective knowledge management (KM) can improve organization performance. Therefore in implementing KM, the organization must know the role of KM infrastructures in supporting organizational KM processes. This research is aimed to assess the role of KM infrastructures that being implemented by the organization in supporting organizational KM processes. The research model used in this research is a modification between the research model from Allameh, Zare, and Davoodi in year 2011 and the model of KM infrastructures and KM processes from Becerra-Fernandez and Sabherwal in year 2010. This model is used as it covers all KM infrastructures and KM processes that have been researched before. Partial least squares approach is used to analyze data from 58 respondents of a telecommunication company in Indonesia. The data was collected by distributing online and hardcopy questionnaires to the employees of the company. The finding from this study is that more than 80% KM processes are influenced by KM infrastructures so it can be concluded that KM infrastructures provide a significant influence on organizational KM processes.
