Abstract
Olfactory receptor (OR) gene families are the largest gene families for all mammals with published genomes. We performed a clustering analysis of the protein sequences of all identified functional olfactory receptor genes for Homo sapiens, Mus musculus, Rattus norvegicus, and Loxodonta africana. To accomplish this, we used the k-means clustering methodology.
