Abstract

Disulfide bonds play a critical role in both the acquisition and maintenance of native conformation of proteins, leading to biological activity. Therefore, it is very important to study the mechanism of disulfide formation and the conformation of folding intermediates. This minireview series highlights the recent findings, techniques, and classical aspects of the disulfide-coupled protein folding in vitro and in vivo.
