Abstract

ABSTRACT The distribution of Taphromysis louisianae, including some previously unreported records, is mapped. This species ranges from the Florida panhandle to the northern end of the Texas Laguna Madre in fresh or brackish waters. A disjunct population has been reported from Veracruz, Mexico. Three new and far inland records are reported from the Tennessee River, Jackson County, Alabama, from the Poteau River, Le Flore County, Oklahoma, and from the Salado River, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
