Abstract

The operation of the intermediate capacity of the ELP-30 furnace substantially affects the processes that determine the quality of titanium ingots. A computational procedure for distributing the average density of the heat flow that falls on the rectangular surface, depending on the electron-beam power, specified functions of its parametric scan, and the diameter of its focal spot, is developed. It is shown that the linearharmonic scan of the electron beam rather than the uniform one is most interesting in practice.
