Abstract

Results of the creation of two databases on the distribution of Late Valday mammals and plants, respectively, over the territory of the Russian Plain are presented. Particular emphasis is placed on documenting the responses of indicator species of plants and mammals to global climate change during the second half of the Valday glaciation. Attention also is devoted to exploring the correlations between the ranges of various plants and animals during the Valday period.
