Abstract

To make a reasonable assessment of the absorbing capacity of distributed photovoltaics (PV) and to analyze the increasing power of photovoltaic capacity by configuring energy storage, this paper proposes a method for measuring the absorbing capacity of distributed photovoltaics and energy storage in distribution networks. Firstly, a photovoltaic supply-demand ratio index is defined to evaluate the relationship between the photovoltaic power generated by the distribution network and the load demand. According to the photovoltaic consumption intensity index combined with historical data, the absorbable photovoltaic capacity can be determined and then deduced an optimized configuration method for energy storage. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is verified using actual photovoltaic and load power consumption data in a particular area.
