Abstract

Because of the constant increase of photovoltaic(PV) permeability, it is needed to configure the energy storage(ES) to reduce the instability caused by PV access of the power distribution network. So that how to configure PV and ES has become an important issue. According to timing characteristics of load and PV output under different seasons and weather conditions, the configuration model of PV and ES based on virtual partition is established, which takes the minimum annual cost as the upper level objective to accomplish PV configuration and the minimization of sum of equivalent load variance as the lower level objective through virtual partition and ES scheduling to accomplish ES configuration. Meanwhile, virtual partition and ES scheduling in regions contribute to achieve regional autonomy in the distribution network. The elitist strategy genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization are applied for solving the planning model. The example simulation results show that the optimization configuration scheme of photovoltaic generation and energy storage obtained by the proposed model and method can effectively enhance the economy of distribution network and reduce the network loss.
