Abstract

The probability distribution functions can be used to calculate the precipitation associated with a desired level of probability and can be used for calculating the maximum demand for irrigation purposes of design. Therefore this study it was carried out to analyze the use of precipitation distribution frequency of better fit at design of irrigation projects, considering the precipitation at 75% probability and the main rainfall. It used rainfall database of Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuaria Rice and Beans (EMBRAPA ) station, at Santo Antonio de Goias municipally, GO, in the coordinates (16o28'00 S, 49o17'00 W), whose altitude it is 823 meters. The series was constructed with daily rainfall data from 1983 1 Departamento de Engenharia de Biosssistemas – LEB/ESLAQ/USP, e-mail: marinaldopinto@usp.br, dinara@usp.br, rdcoelho@usp.br 2 Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso – UFMT.
