Abstract

The distinct characteristics of IgM-Fc and IgG-Fc receptors on human, guinea pig and mouse lymphocytes with respect to the degradation by proleolytic enzymes, neuraminidase and phospholipase C, and the modulation by corticosteroid or interferon were described. Relationships between the expression and modulation of receptors and the immune responses mediated by the receptor-bearing cells were also discussed.
