Abstract

The article considers various models of education: socio-cultural, pragmatic and educationaldisciplinary. It is noted that modern distance education has a disciplinary nature. It is indicated that there are the following educational paradigms: humanitarian, polytechnic, socio-cultural and informational. The information paradigm, which, according to the author, is becoming dominant, is most fully presented. Distance education is considered as an institution of remote (remote) transmission of information.
