Abstract

The operative treatment of distal biceps tendon ruptures can be performed through a modified Henry approach or using a two-incision technique (Mayo modified Boyd-Anderson approach). Major complications are ectopic ossifications including synostosis between radius and ulna and lesions of the radial nerve. For the postoperative management of triceps tendon ruptures avoiding rerupture is of great importance.
