Abstract

The rate constants of the discharge of H+ ions and the molization of adsorbed H atoms and the constant of hydrogen exchange between the surface and bulk of iron in acidic chloride electrolytes were determined. The effect of sorbed hydrogen on the kinetics of iron dissolution was studied with the use of a bipolar membrane electrode.
