Abstract

Extrauterine leiomyoma is a rare entity and easily missed or misdiagnosed. We report two cases of disseminated peritoneal leiomyomatosis. The first case was a 42-year-old female presented with uterine bleeding symptoms. Diffuse peritoneal leiomyomatosis was discovered incidentally during surgical removal of uterine leiomyoma. The second case was a 43-year-old female who was misdiagnosed as an abdominal carcinomatosis on ultrasound and MRI. Both cases underwent surgical resection of diffuse smooth muscle tumours on the peritoneum.
