Abstract
ABSTRACTResidual or oil reserves nonrecoverable through industrial and basic development methods reach an average of 55–75% of oil initially in place. Residual oil parameters differ from previous parameters in order that some fields of Azerbaijan are in long-term usage. When the hydrocarbon drive from porous medium is conducted by water, compressed air, water-air mixture, and, if there exist the natural emulsifiers (asphaltene, resin, paraffin, clay, different salts), in this case the oil deposited on the rock surface is in the form of emulsion. It is necessary to use special displacement agent for this type of residual oil displacement. Oil from Surakhany field of Azerbaijan Republic is given as a test subject due to enhanced oil recovery being intense in this field. Experimental studies have been conducted in laboratory conditions in order to prepare a more efficient composition system for water-oil emulsion drive. After injection of the prepared composition to the formation by the well # 1309 during 10 days as the intermediate layer of 0.8% of porosity, the compressed air (850 m3/day) is injected and moves toward the production wells. A total of 779 tons incremental oil was produced as a result of developed technological process application in IV horizon of Surakhany field.
