Abstract

This paper presents an extension of modal Galerkin’s technique based on the recurrence process for determining the dispersion characteristics of multilayered coupled microstriptype structures consisting of stratified uniaxial anisotropic media. For this purpose, formalism concept of mathematical operators is introduced to more easily determine the impedance operator which constitutes an important element in the resolution of boundary conditions. By properly choosing trial functions appearing through this integral technique, appropriate numerical results are obtained and compared to those available in the literature to confirm efficiency and accuracy of this approach.
