Abstract

A statistical kinetic model describing the dispersion and clustering of particles with different inertia in homogeneous turbulence is presented. The model developed is used for calculating the relative velocity, the radial distribution function, and the particle collision kernel in a stationary bidisperse suspension. The results obtained are compared with the data of a direct numerical simulation.
