Abstract

The balance of the pharyngeal microbiota is one of the important factors for the respiratory tract health.There is growing evidence that the pharyngeal microbiome has an important effect on the development and progression of respiratory diseases.The features of pharyngeal microbiome are associated with clinical phenotypes, acute exacerbation, severity, treatment and prognosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD), asthma, respiratory infectious diseases, cystic fibrosis(CF) and tuberculosis(TB). Therefore, it is of great significance to study the relationship between human pharyngeal microbiota disorder and common respiratory diseases.
