Abstract
The paper has selected the Uttar Pradesh region of India to enumerate the farming conditions and the prevalence of disguised unemployment with the aim of describing the suitability of a comprehensive dairy farming model. The study is based on secondary data collected from various survey reports. Relevant literature is also reviewed to get into the depth of the topic. A linear regression analysis with an ANOVA test is performed to test the hypothesis. The result shows that milk production is positively correlated with employment generation in dairy product manufacturing. Some limitations are observed in the dairy sector with regard to the unorganised setup and supply chain management. A comprehensive dairy farming model is suggested, thereby generating additional employment opportunities for farmers. The need for government assistance in infrastructure and skill development is also emphasised.
