Abstract

The variability of the statistical physics descriptors of failure in an impregnated fibre bundle model is investigated. Using the same bundle and fibre parameters as in (Lomov et al., 2021), 50 random realisations were built for VF50 and for VF60 models. The same descriptors of the bundle damage, clusters, and avalanches were calculated, and their statistical scatter characteristics were analysed. The conclusions of (Lomov et al., 2021) are confirmed to be statistically representative for an ensemble of random fibre placement realisations.
