Abstract
This article studies characteristics of 3LPE external coating material and cathodic protection technology for offshore pipeline firstly, analysis the mechanism of cathodic disbondment and specified properties, carries out cathodic disbonding tests base on different cathodic protection current density applied on coated samples at given temperature, and then analyses the relationship between coating failure life and index of cathodic protection using Arrhenius model and inverse power law model, puts forward a recommended maximal cathodic protection current density for offshore pipeline at a certain design life of coating.
