Abstract

In this article we analyze the situation of the children and adolescents with disabilities in four regular or general schools and four special schools in Madrid and Alcalá de Henares whose right to education is violated. Through quantitative and qualitative methods with theoretical and documentary approaches, we have examined the narratives of these in the educational field where they are discriminated against. The conclusion reached is that they receive a poorer education than those without disabilities and many are excluded from school. In addition, we have analyzed the consequences of discrimination on the latter and the struggle of the movements for the defense of human rights so that the educational system is reformed with the perspective of an inclusive education.
