Discovery of the male of Tethysbaena tarsiensis Wagner, 1994 (Peracarida, Thermosbaenacea, Monodellidae)

Abstract

Abstract The male of Tethysbaena tarsiensis Wagner, 1994 is described from the Guadalquivir drainage in southern Spain. The original description was based on a sample containing only female specimens. As males of this species were unknown thus far, additional descriptive notes are added to the original diagnosis by Wagner (1994). Additional remarks on the habitat of the species are made as well.
