Abstract

Megistopus flavicornis (Rossi, 1790) is a species belonging to the monotypic genus of the Myrmeleontidae family. This ant lion is relatively small in size. It can be easily identified by the characteristic dark brown spot on the distal part of the forewing, as well as by the long and slender legs.
