Abstract
The following piece examines the views of a clinical psychologist who has been offered the opportunity to undertake further training in the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO). It explores his thoughts surrounding the role of psychologists in the diagnosis of individuals and its impact with regards to power differentials, personal impact and being forced into medicalising one’s practice.
