Abstract

1. 1. After disc electrophoresis with 9% acrylamide gel, specific staining showed the existence of a pattern in rainbow trout plasma protein of six glycoprotein bands and two lipoprotein bands. 2. 2. Thermostable and perchlorosoluble fractions were observed. 3. 3. Fibrinogen (band 12), transferrin (band 4) and ceruloplasmin (band 7 or 8) were localized. 4. 4. An hemoglobin-binding protein was not found. 5. 5. A particular glycolipoprotein complex was noted. An analogous compound was found in the plasma of eleven fish species. 6. 6. The results presented show the impossibility of correlating any fraction with mammalian serum albumin.
