Abstract
More and more libraries today are writing disaster preparedness plans. A major fire at Illinois State University's Milner Library showed the written plan was helpful, but trained personnel would have made the recovery more efficient. The Milner Library Preservation Committee organized and presented a disaster recovery workshop for its own disaster recovery team and those from other area libraries. Participants received information on organization for disaster recovery, learned to select appropriate treatments, and practiced various recovery techniques.
