Abstract
Kayehan Desa in Pedawa Village is a water source and public facilities that are used by all levels of Pedawa society. Kayehan desa located in a water source area in the middle of the forest, the condition of these public facilities are still not feasible and difficult to reach during the rainy season. One of the kayehan desa named Kayehan Desa Alas Jeringo has great potential to be developed under the community service activities in the PUU scheme in 2020. This paper will discuss the design of the supporting facilities needed by the village of Alas Jeringo so that it can function more optimally both in the dry season and in the rainy season. Qualitative methods that involve field observations, interviews and discussions are used to generate a suitable design concept that combines the designer's ideas and is able to accommodate the aspirations of the local community. SWOT analysis applied for this study. The results show that the appropriate design for the Kayehan Desa supporting facilities in Alas Jeringo uses the concept of tropical architecture and sustainable architectural design so that these facilities are able to provide good sustainable functions and can be used by local communities and visitors who come to visit in the long term. Moreover, with the concept of tropical and sustainable architecture, the design of supporting facilities does not damage the surrounding environment.
