Abstract

Patients with psychotic disorders (PWP) have a diminished sense of agency (awareness of controlling one’s own actions). This may be linked to a deficit in corollary discharge (CD), an internal copy of a motor movement sent to sensory areas of the brain. We hypothesized that PWPs rely largely on explicit information during adaptation to external feedback perturbations compared to healthy controls (HCs) who rely on both explicit and implicit CD information.
