Abstract

The study aimed to identify the dimensions of women’s gender socialization and to provide a model for it among 400 women in Bandar Abbas. Formal and content validity was reviewed and confirmed by reviewing the literature and judging of experts and its structural validity through exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach alpha in SPSS24 and the model obtained using confirmatory factor analysis in Lisre110. The results indicate that the three main dimensions of “family gender values” are with the components of “family, marriage, divorce, childbearing”, “gender inequality” with the components of “social division of labor, cultural inequality, individual inequality” and “power relations in the family” with the components of “division of labor at home, decision making at home” and overall, 60/571 of the total variance of gender sociability is explained by these 9 components. The obtained variances are in the components of family, 8/282 percentage, decision making, 8/107percentage, individual inequality, 7/699 percentage, divorce, 7/452 percentage, division of social work, 7/255 percentage, division of labor, 6/641 percentage, marriage, 5/245 percentage, cultural inequality, 5/002 percentage and in component of childbearing, 4/688 percentage, respectively.
