Abstract
The relations between Brazil and China began decades ago, and since then it has made countries and peoples closer and with stronger commercial ties. However, in this process of approach and exchange experiences, always seeking greater synergy between the parties, it is perceived that there are distances that may or may not contribute to this relationship. Given this context, this research aimed to analyze, in a Sino-Brazilian company, the distances economic, financial, political, administrative, cultural, demographic, knowledge, global, geographic and communication. Regarding the method, the research was classified as qualitative, since there was a need to conduct interviews to understand these distances between countries. The results show that 7 of the 10 distances have strong representation for both countries, and that the other 3 do not have significant representation. The results show that of the 10 distances explored, none of them had unanimity on the degree of representativeness for the good development of the company. With this study, it is suggested that special attention be paid to the communication distance, as it was the one that had the greatest representation among all respondents, as well as having been mentioned along with other distances. Finally, it is suggested that there be monitoring of all distances from time to time, especially those that have proven to have the greatest impact, such as economic, financial, political, administrative, geographical, cultural, and communication, to avoid any problems and take proactive actions for the shortening of these distances.
