Digital Transformation Impact on the Intellectual Capital of an Innovatively Active Industrial Cluster

Abstract

One of the main trends of modern life -- is the digital technologies introduction into peoples' life, society, and business. Most of the innovations emerging in modern reality are based on the effective use of digital and information technologies. In this regard, the greatest innovatively active industrial cluster development is possible due to digital transformation. The research hypothesis is that changes occurring in an innovatively active cluster under the digital transformation influence affect the intellectual cluster as well. The aim of the research is to identify the digital transformation impact on the innovatively active industrial cluster intellectual capital. Innovatively active industrial cluster is in the focus of the undertaken research. Innovatively active industrial cluster intellectual capital -- is the subject of the investigation. The article identifies and describes the possible digital transformation means of the innovatively active industrial cluster, as well as the possible digital transformation results of the innovatively active industrial cluster and their connection with the digital transformation means. Cluster digital transformation means are subdivided into three levels: basic, priority, and breakthrough, each one with the identified elements. Digital transformation results of the innovatively active industrial cluster are subdivided into two categories: ensuring a relatively stable market position, and ensuring a breakthrough cluster development. The possible impact of an innovatively active industrial cluster digital transformation on its intellectual capital is described. It is supposed to continue research in the direction of developing a toolkit for assessing the innovatively active industrial cluster intellectual capital in the context of digital transformation.
