Abstract

The aim of the article. The purpose of the article is to analyze the digital paradigm and terms "digital business", "digital enterprise", "digital transformation" and to clarify the definition of the term "digital transformation". On the one hand, industry experts have multiple views on the exact definition of digital business. On the other hand, in our opinion, these studies do not always fully reveal the unified nature of these concepts. In this regard, the definitions of digital business, digital enterprise and digital transformation are proposed to be clarifyed. The results of the analysis. Based on the study of definitions and terms of digital paradigm, digital business, digital enterprise, digital transformation, a refined definition of the term digital transformation of enterprise is proposed. The main characteristics of digital business are highlighted. Trends that distinguish digital from traditional processes are considered. Aspects of digital transformation and signs of effective enterprise transformation are analyzed. The components of digital transformation and its elements of success are analyzed. The concept of digital strategy in the context of digital transformation is considered. The examples of digital business are given. Existing definitions of the term "digital enterprise" are broadly based on the essence of the digital paradigm, but there is no clear definition. This, on the one hand, indicates that the essence and constituent definitions of the term "digital enterprise" are under development. On the other hand, this is due to the fact that digital enterprises include, on the one hand, digital enterprises of developers of digital services (software) and, on the other hand, digital enterprises that use digital technologies and digital services, including enterprises of Industry 4.0. The refined definition of the term is proposed: "Digital transformation is the process of transition to new ways of business activity through the introduction of digital technologies and digital services, based on strategic partnership of all stakeholders and simultaneous development of software, digital transformation and assessment of the level of digital transformation of the enterprise". Conclusions and directions for further research. It is established that the existing definitions of the term "digital enterprise" are based on the essence of the digital paradigm. However, there is no clear definition, which indicates that the essence and constituent definitions of the term are under development, and on the other hand there is no unambiguous classification of digital enterprises. It is established that there are a large number of different definitions of the term "digital transformation" and each of them focuses on different aspects of digital transformation, ignoring the characteristics of other definitions and not taking into account the signs of effective transformation of the enterprise, Based on the analysis of the digital paradigm and definitions of the terms "digital business", "digital enterprise", "digital transformation", a more precise definition of the term "digital transformation" is proposed. Prospective directions for further research are the development of theoretical and practical provisions for the development of organizational and economic mechanism for managing the digital transformation of the enterprise.
