Abstract

This paper analyzes the use of didactic resources in teaching the English language, considering the primary source of the Peninsula State University of Santa Elena in Ecuador. A qualitative methodology of descriptive type with a documentary approach was used. Data were presented as scientific support for the research, and interviews with teachers were used as a data collection technique. Among the main results, it was found that most teachers use digital resources to teach their lectures within their workload, but not all do it equally or with the frequency necessary for their effectiveness. In this way, it could be concluded that students respond positively to using technology as the primary education tool in the new educational era fostered by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced teaching staff to use new resources to maintain an efficient education.
