Abstract

The problem of digital data transmission between two neuronlike systems has been investigated. The former of a sequence of rectangular pulses is used as an information signal source. The behavior of neuronlike elements is described with the help of the Hodgkin-Huxley mathematical model. Such a system is shown to form the communications channel of fairly high quality in terms of the classical theory of information transmission.
