Abstract

The current article is aimed at examining the application of information and communication technologies in present-day foreign language learning systems in Bulgaria. It focuses on systems used in secondary education for teaching English, German and Spanish. The quantitative and qualitative analyses trace the establishment of a relationship between the development of digital competence and foreign language learning. The conclusions of this article point to a reciprocal and complementary relationship between the development of digital and language skills.
