Abstract

A photon correlation spectroscopic investigation has been made of the diffusion of polystyrene molecules in benzene solutions of poly(methyl methacrylate). A subsidiary investigation was made of diffusion in the absence of poly(methyl methacrylate) in both the dilute and concentrated regimes. Results of the latter experiments agree with more detailed studies by others. Diffusion in the presence of poly(methyl methacrylate) of various concentrations has been interpreted as “single labelled chain motion” with the aid of current theories.
