Abstract

The transition range of the epoxy polymer reinforced by a dispersed mineral filler (micromica) from a vitreous to highly elastic state is analyzed by dynamic mechanical spectrometry. The active effect of filler on linear viscoelastic properties of material in the temperature range of 25–75°C is determined. The diffusion characteristics of moisture in a polymer coating are determined. To describe the moisture transfer, the experimental data are approximated by Fick and Langmuir models. It is determined that the introduction of micromica promotes the transport of mobile water molecules in epoxy matrix.
