Diffusion of agricultural innovations among traditional farmers of Western Sudan ? The case of East Kordofan and El Fasher districts

Abstract

The innovative behaviour of traditional farmers in a marginal tropical environment is discussed. It is found that personal economic and proper channels of information are important. It is also found that the innovation which does not deviate drastically from the established systems of farming and ways of life will be easily accepted if suitably presented.
