Abstract
The paper presents the results of theoretical modeling of axisymmetric gradient gratings of a periodic and aperiodic amplitude profile (Fresnel, Fibonacci) positioned within a circular hollow dielectric waveguide. Such gratings can be placed in waveguide dielectric resonators and used as output mirrors of terahertz lasers. Using the Finite-Difference in Time Domain method for Bodies of Revolution (BOR FDTD) the dependences of the reflection and transmission coefficients of the basic modes of waveguide resonators for these gradient structures are found. The narrow-band application of the studied aperiodic structures in comparison with the known periodic structures is shown.
