Abstract

Differentiating Allergic Contact Dermatitis(ACD) fromIrritant Contact Dermatitis (ICD) has posed a significantchallenge for dermatologists, allergists, andhistopathologists. Over the years, many studies havebeen conducted to determine whether ACD can bedifferentiated from ICD based on histopathologyfindings. A clear-cut distinction based on histopathologywill facilitate the diagnosis and appropriatemanagement of both conditions.Abbreviations: CD, Contact Dermatitis; ACD, allergiccontact dermatitis; ICD, irritant contact dermatitis
