Abstract

We present differential real-space renormalization equations for the triangular gaussian model which are the analogs of those recently derived for the Ising model. A nontrivial spatially inhomogeneous fixed-point solution is located and the exact thermal critical index y = 1/ v = 2 obtained. The flow equations in the critical subspace are identical, up to a change of variables, to those for the Ising model studied previously by Knops and one of the authors.
