Abstract
In this article, the differential equations are studied, explaining their basic classification into ordinary and partial differential equations. The main focus of the article has been to analyze the ordinary differential equations, specifically first-order and second-order linear differential equations. The important theorems and methods used to solve those differential equations are presented and explained. Also, some popular problems in physics have been undertaken and solved by making use of the different types of differential equations in order to highlight some real-world situations and the benefit of using the differential equations to learn about them.
