Abstract
The absolute differential cross section has been measured for excitation of the v = 0 vibrational level of the a 1Δ g excited state of molecular oxygen in a wide scattering angle range from 15° to 180° at an electron impact energy of 10 eV. The integral excitation cross section for the above state has been also obtained through integration of the measured differential cross section. Detailed comparison of the determined cross sections with the results of previous measurements and existing theoretical calculations has been given.
