Abstract

The dielectronic recombination (DR) of multiply charged ions via autoionisation states with an inner-shell vacancy is discussed. Calculations of the DR rate constant are performed for the process Fe15+(2p63s)+e to Fe14+(2p53s3dnl) to Fe14+(2p63snl)+hv. The contribution of this process to the total recombination rate constant is approximately 25% in the case of the corona equilibrium.
